They beat Luton Town 3-0 at home last time out. Joel Piroe scored twice against the Hatters at Elland Road on Tuesday night, whilst Sam Byram also got himself on the scoresheet.

The Whites have the likes of Sheffield United, Burnley and Sunderland chasing them down.

As per a report by LeedsLive, Leeds United defender Byram is having a scan on his hamstring. Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev remain sidelined, but left-back Junior Firpo is back from suspension.

Starting XI

Meslier; Bogle, Rodon, Struijk, Firpo; Tanaka, Rothwell; Gnonto, Aaronson, James; Piroe

Illan Meslier has been Leeds United’s number one again so far this season and is backed up on the bench by the experienced Karl Darlow.

The Whites signed Jayden Bogle in the summer from fellow Championship promotion hopefuls Sheffield United and he should get the nod again at right-back.

Joe Rodon and Pascal Stuijk are likely to start again at centre-back and the pair will be eager to keep Blackburn Rovers at bay.

Firpo’s return from suspension has come at a perfect time and he will come back in for Byram, who is a doubt for this one.

Ao Tanaka has turned out to be a shrewd addition for Leeds United and the Japan international has adapted well to life in England. Prior to his switch, he spent a few years in Germany with Bundesliga.2 outfit Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Joe Rothwell is enjoying a run in the starting XI at the moment with Ampadu and Gruev still in the treatment room. The AFC Bournemouth loan man has been solid and injects quality into their side.

Josuha Guilavogui and Charlie Crew are ready to step up if needed in midfield.

Going forward, Farke has a lot of different options to pick from. Willy Gnonto and Brendan Aaronson are two very dangerous players and will look to cause Blackburn Rovers some big issues.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Dan James come back in for Manor Solomon to freshen things up. Largie Ramazani is another alternatives following his return.

Up front, it would be harsh to drop Piroe after his brace against Luton Town, with Mateo Joseph and Patrick Bamford waiting in the wings.
