Alexis Mac Allister will have a brief spell on the sidelines for Liverpool next month - and continues to face the prospect of his time out of the first team being extended. Mac Allister will miss the Champions League game in Girona on Tuesday week after picking up his third booking in this season's competition during the 2-0 home win over Real Madrid on Wednesday.
The midfielder, who scored the opener against the Spaniards, had earlier been booked in the victories at AC Milan and RB Leipzig.
And Mac Allister could yet be handed another suspension due to the totting up disciplinary procedure in the Premier League.

The Argentina international is one top-flight booking away from being handed an automatic ban having picked up yellow cards in four successive games against Crystal Palace, Chelsea, Arsenal and former club Brighton.
Players who accrue five bookings inside the opening 19 Premier League games are handed a one-match ban. The amnesty then changes to a two-match suspension for reaching 10 bookings after 32 games, and a three-game ban for totalling 15 at any point in the campaign.
Liverpool have played 12 Premier League matches so far this season, meaning Mac Allister has to negotiate another seven matches, starting with the home clash against champions Manchester City on Sunday.
The Reds are at Newcastle United and Everton later the same week, before a home game against Fulham, a trip to Tottenham Hotspur and a Boxing Day clash with Leicester City ahead of finishing the calendar year at West Ham United on December 29 - the 19th game and halfway point of the Premier League season.
Ibrahima Konate's yellow card at Southampton last weekend means the France international - as well as being a booking away from a suspension in the Champions League - is, like Mac Allister, on four yellow cards in the Premier League.
Liverpool are waiting to discover if the France international faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering a leg injury when caught by Real Madrid substitute Endrick during the last action of the game in midweek.
Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai are the next Reds players in danger of a Premier League ban having both accrued three bookings so far this campaign.
