Chelsea vs Aston Villa preview
Chelsea and Aston Villa return to domestic action following their mixed midweek encounters.
The Blues made it four wins from four in the Conference League by beating Bundesliga opponents Heidenheim 2-0 at the Voith-Arena with a heavily rotated XI.
Meanwhile Aston Villa extended their winless run to seven matches when drawing 0-0 with Italian heavyweights Juventus in the Champions League.
Unai Emery's side ended a four-game losing run with a draw against Crystal Palace in the Premier League last weekend, but their European exploits are clearly taking their toll.
The Villans have only won ONE of their FIVE top-flight games following a Champions League clash, and that arrived after their first back in September.
Since the win over Bologna in late October, they have been knocked out of the Carabao Cup and failed to win any of their other six matches in the Premier League and Europe - now sitting eight in the division.
That's hardly ideal preparations to take on third-placed Chelsea, who've won three of their last four in all competitions.
In the Premier League, Chelsea's only defeat since the opening weekend of the season against Manchester City remains the 2-1 loss at Anfield last month.
Only Liverpool and Tottenham can better Chelsea's 23 top-flight goals, while only Spurs have a higher expected goals (xG) than Chelsea's 19.72.
Still, there's reason enough to think Villa can get a result given Chelsea are winless in their last three Premier League meetings with Aston Villa (D1 L2) and just 41% of Chelsea’s Premier League points this season have come in home games.

Mr Assist
Cole Palmer is the obvious choice to provide an assist given no player has created more chances from open play in the Premier League this season (28).
His odds of 9/4 aren't too enticing, so I've opted for midfielder Enzo Fernandez to come up with the goods at a sizeable 5/1.
The Argentine, 23, has provided six assists in 16 appearances this season - including two in his last two Premier League outings against Leicester and Arsenal.
Aside from Palmer, Fernandez has actually created more chances (15) than any of his Chelsea colleagues with only four players ahead of him in terms of expected assists (xA).

Mr Booking
Yes, we're doubling up with Enzo Fernandez to receive a booking in Sunday's clash at Stamford Bridge.
The combative midfielder collected 10 yellow cards in 40 appearances last season, and he's been booked twice in his four meetings with Aston Villa -
Only Moises Caicedo has attempted more league tackles than Fernandez (54 vs 42) but the former has played over 300 minutes more.
