Juventus could offer Manchester United Douglas Luiz and Danilo as part of an effort to get Joshua Zirkzee to Turin.
That’s [according to Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/juventus-chi-finanzia-il-mercato-di-gennaio-da-fagioli-a-mbangul-86216#375187), who float the idea of both players being involved in a possible deal for Manchester United’s summer signing.
They explain that Juventus are currently working out which players they can move on in January to help fund the purchases they want to make in the winter market.
They’re already drawing up a list of options and the idea is to ‘generate value’ through the sale of players currently in the squad or using them in ‘exchange operations.
They name several players who already find themselves on that fire list and both Danilo and Douglas Luiz are on it. Manchester United are then brought into the picture.
CM say that his contract currently expires on June 2025 and includes a renewal option but both parties want to avoid this. He has several Brazilian clubs interested in him but also Manchester United and ‘negotiations could be started’ to include him as part of a deal to take Zirkzee to Turin on loan.
Luiz, meanwhile, is the most complicated player in the squad, with the relationship between the player, club and city not taking off since his arrival from Aston Villa in the summer.
His €50m price tag is a problem and thinking of a permanent exit is seen as utopian, but a loan with his wages covered could work for Juventus.
In fact, they would be open to an exchange for ‘some useful players’ for the Juventus squad and Zirkzee could fit into that bracket. Whether Manchester United would want the midfielder isn’t mentioned but it has been reported this week that they’ve met with his agent, who also represents Zirkzee, and Juventus director of football Cristiano Giuntoli this week.
Things are certainly moving behind the scenes, and it seems Juventus are now willing to offer players as they try to get Zirkzee back to Italy.
