Frankfurt's Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush has been turning heads

Omar Marmoush continued his impressive season for Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday evening and scored in front of scouts from Manchester United.

The Egyptian star netted a decisive penalty as the Bundesliga side secured a 2-1 victory away from home against Midtjylland in the Europa League. Marmoush has now racked an incredible 15 goals and 11 assists in 18 appearances this term.

The 25-year-old has made headlines across Europe due to his fine form and is said to be garnering interest across the continent. Liverpool and Arsenal have both being credited with interest in the player and scouts from multiple European giants were in attendance in Denmark to watch his latest outing.

Representatives from Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Tottenham, Borussia Monchengladbach, Villarreal and FC Koln were present in Herning per Tipsbladet, with Marmoush likely top of the agenda for those clubs with deeper pockets.

Marmoush is already said to be under consideration at Liverpool as the Reds attempt to form a succession plan for Mohamed Salah. The Premier League legend revealed publically he has yet to receive a contract offer from the club ahead of his deal expiring at the end of the season.

Inevitably, the Egyptian duo have seen comparisions. Salah has pleaded for his 25-year-old international teammate to be judged on his own merit but praised his ability.

“I think he has great potential," said Salah. "He is an important player for his team and the national team.

"I want to stop making comparisons to make his life easier. I want people to stop comparing him to me, saying he will be the new Salah and will do what he did and surpass it.

"That will put him under pressure all the time and will not help the player. You will compare him to a player who has been very successful over the past years, but he is still starting his career."

Former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen believes Marmoush could fit in at Old Trafford however. The Dutchman told Egyptian news channel Al Qahera: "Marmoush has great potential and could be a valuable addition to any big club, including Manchester United.

"He is very skilful and can score goals. He is performing well with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga and has already caught the attention of some Premier League clubs. I think he has the talent to succeed in the Premier League if given the opportunity."
