Real Madrid handed injury boost as key forward back in training

Real Madrid breathed a massive sigh of relief after it was confirmed that the trio of Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe, and Brahim Diaz were not injured and will be available to face Getafe.

The trio finished the midweek UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool with discomfort and underwent medical tests today to determine if there was any injury, and as it turned out, the trio are fit and ready for the weekend clash.

Another boost for Real Madrid

Not only that, but Real Madrid were handed another welcome boost as key forward Rodrygo Goes resumed full training with the group today, as reported by Melchor Ruiz of COPE.

Rodrygo initially sustained a hamstring injury during the game against Borussia Dortmund last month and went on to miss the Clasico against Barcelona as a result.

Having recovered swiftly, the 23-year-old attacker made a comeback against AC Milan only to suffer yet another muscle injury during the clash versus CA Osasuna.

Rodrygo’s return was expected to take place next month but the Brazilian international appears to have pushed forward the schedule as he trained normally with the group today.

Whether that ascertains his availability to face Getafe on Sunday is still unclear but his return to training is a positive for Real Madrid, considering that Vinicius Jr. is injured and Kylian Mbappe has been off-colour.

Rodrygo has not had the best of starts to the new season, and has managed only three goals and two assists from 15 appearances.

Whether he makes a comeback this weekend against Getafe remains to be seen. What is certain is that Real Madrid will be without Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal, David Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga and Vinicius Jr.

Aurelien Tchouameni, who is back doing individual work, is also set to miss the upcoming match.
