Chelsea have reportedly been handed a major boost in the race for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
The 24-year-old was recently linked with a move back to Stamford Bridge, with the Blues said to be plotting a shock swoop for his services in 2025.
Guehi has endured a difficult start to the campaign at Selhurst Park, with the Eagles failing to live up to pre-season expectations of a European push.
The off-season loss of Michael Olise to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich has hindered Palace's progress massively, with head coach Oliver Glasner struggling to get a tune out of his side.
Heading into a busy festive schedule, the Eagles are currently occupying 19th place in the Premier League standings, one point behind Wolverhampton Wanderers in 17th.

Chelsea handed boost in Guehi pursuit?
According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea have recently received a significant boost in the race for the services of Crystal Palace star Guehi in the near future.
The report claims that the 24-year-old would be keen to rejoin the Blues at Stamford Bridge, where he spent a good chunk of his academy career.
It is understood that Guehi is extremely close to many members of the current Chelsea squad, a factor that could sway the defender's decision regarding his next destination.
It is believed that the Blues could launch a move for the centre-back in the New Year, with a price tag of less than £90m being branded about.
With Guehi current deal at Selhurst Park expiring over the summer of 2026, Crystal Palace may wish to cash in on their asset in January before his price drops significantly over the next year.

Chelsea face competition for next England legend?
As well as Enzo Maresca's Blues, it is believed that Newcastle United are still firmly in the race for the signature of Crystal Palace man Guehi.
The Magpies supposedly submitted a bid of £80m over the summer transfer window for the 24-year-old, who ultimately stayed put at Selhurst Park.
Featuring heavily for Gareth Southgate's England at Euro 2024, Guehi will be targeting a long-term spot in the Three Lions side under the fresh leadership of Thomas Tuchel.
