Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson has definitely been one of the big successes of the season so far.
Nicolas Jackson had a pretty steady debut campaign with Chelsea last year, scoring 17 goals in 44 games across all competitions. However, the Blues frontman certainly came in for his fair share of criticism as well.
So far this season, the 23-year-old’s has put in some outstanding performances as Chelsea’s first-choice striker. In 12 Premier League matches, he’s scored seven goals and created three assists.
Mauricio Pochettino previously predicted Jackson would be great for Chelsea, and he’s now consistently showing his qualities at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca claims where Nicolas Jackson can improve
Enzo Maresca, the Chelsea manager, is delighted with the job that Jackson is doing for his team this year.
The Italian head coach has told the centre-forward he can still improve his finishing and link-up play, but there’s lots to be optimistic with him right now.
“He is already good. He’s already good enough for us. Like all the players, there are many things that he can do better,” Maresca said via Chelsea’s official YouTube channel.

“Sometimes this season it happened that he had 1v1 chances that he missed. That can happen. He can improve that area. He can be a bit more brave on the ball when we need him to link [play]. Overall, they’re areas he’s already improving a lot.”
Jamie O’Hara claims Jackson is proving people wrong at Chelsea with the way he’s starting to perform on a regular basis.
If he can keep scoring goals at this rate this season, he’ll soon win over all of his doubters.
Nicolas Jackson should set 20-goal target
It would be great to see Jackson aim for 20 league goals this season.
The last Chelsea centre-forward to score 20 Premier League goals was Diego Costa in the 2016/17 campaign, so it’s a great target to try and chase down.

On top of the goals, the current Blues striker gives so much to his team in and out of possession. Darren Bent claims the camera don’t pick up Jackson’s incredible amount of running.
