Chelsea have a tough test this weekend in the form of Aston Villa who finished fourth in the league last season.
The Blues come off the back of a 2-0 win against German side Heidenheim in the Europa Conference League and a 2-1 win against Enzo Maresca’s former side Leicester City last weekend.
They host an out-of-sorts Villa team who haven’t won a game in seven matches so will be desperate for three points and a boost in the table.
Even more encouragingly for Maresca is that both Pedro Neto and Malo Gusto are expected to return from injury this weekend and so it will just be Reece James who is ruled out for the game with a hamstring injury.
The Blues could go to second in the league table this weekend as Liverpool play against second-placed Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
