As the Premier League gears up for another epic round of battles at the top and bottom of the table, here are three in-form forwards to consider transferring in for FPL Gameweek 13 before this evening’s 18:30 FPL deadline.
Three Forwards to Transfer in for FPL Gameweek 13
Nicolas Jackson – Chelsea (vs Aston Villa) – £8.0 Million
Highlighted in Last Word on Sports’ striker FPL piece for the second week running, Nicolas Jackson is looking a lot more like the player Chelsea paid good money for in June of last year.
The star has managed to correct his offside regularities and inability to finish chances first-time; FPL managers should be looking to this revitalised forward who is full of confidence, playing a key part in Chelsea’s successes this season.

Coming off the back of a cracking finish against Leicester City last weekend – one that showed shades of Didier Drogba according to many Blues fans – he’ll be backing himself to score against an Aston Villa side who haven’t won in four, conceding nine in that time.
A Manchester City draw or loss against Liverpool and a Chelsea win this weekend could see the Blues go second in the league, so some goals from Jackson on Sunday certainly wouldn’t go amiss for the South West London outfit.
Matheus Cunha – Wolves (vs Bournemouth) – £7.0 Million
The past few games for Wolves have seen them undergo a mini-revival under Gary O’Neill. After taking just one point from their opening eight games, the Midlands side looked rather doomed, but with them now on a run of two consecutive wins and before that two draws, they’ve crawled out of the relegation zone, and it is mostly thanks to Matheus Cunha.
The Brazilian has four goals and three assists across this four-game unbeaten spell, with many Wolves fans nervous that this form could attract suitors either in January or the summer.
They now face a Bournemouth side who haven’t won a point since their shock victory on November 2 against Manchester City.
If games were played on paper, Wolves would be guaranteed to win, but in football anything can happen. Having said that, with Cunha’s current form, that could continue as Wolves look to increase their distance from the drop zone.
Chris Wood – Nottingham Forest (vs Ipswich) – £6.6 Million
Not involved from the start against Arsenal last time out following his extensive travelling with the New Zealand national team during the international break, there was a Chris Wood shaped hole in the Forest side as they fell to a 3-0 defeat to the Gunners.
Now with a few training sessions and some rest under his belt, Wood will surely be reinstated up top this weekend against Ipswich. After just one defeat in their opening ten league matches, Forest have now lost two more on the bounce to Newcastle and Arsenal, with their impressive defensive record taking a hit; they now sit 7th in the table.
