Ibrahima Konate
Ibrahima Konate is set for a spell on the sidelines
Ibrahima Konate will miss Liverpool's huge clash with Manchester City this Sunday due to injury.
The defender seemed to limp off the field after Wednesday night's impressive 2-0 win over Real Madrid, sparking fears he could be sidelined for this weekend's pivotal title showdown.
And Konate has taken to social media to confirm he will start a recovery program. "So frustrating to pick up this injury right at the end of a great game on Wednesday night," he wrote on Instagram on Friday afternoon.
"Now we start the recovery process but one thing I promise is I will come back and be the best I can be once again. Thank you for the amazing support at Anfield.

"Inshallah we will keep going and I will support the team every step of the way."
The news will come as a major blow to Arne Slot and Liverpool, who know a win against the Premier League champions at Anfield will put them a staggering 11 POINTS ahead of Pep Guardiola's side.
Liverpool are also likely to be without Conor Bradley at the weekend after he also picked up an issue. The right-back produced an excellent display to stifle Kylian Mbappe but his absence should, at least, be softened by the return of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
