Roy Keane will return to screens on Sunday for Sky Sports' coverage of Liverpool vs Man City, according to a report.

Manchester United icon Roy Keane will return to Sky Sports screens on Sunday despite an altercation with a Ipswich Town fan following United's 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town.

According to the Daily Mail, the Irishman will be at Anfield as part of their coverage for Liverpool's showdown with Manchester City in the Premier League. It comes after the widely-shared footage appeared to show the former United captain involved in a heated exchange with a supporter last Sunday.

Footage emerged on Sunday, following Amorim's first game in charge, and it has been claimed that one fan took things further by shouting from the upper tier, "F*** you Keane".

In a video later posted online, the former Republic of Ireland midfielder appears to ask a supporter to meet him in the car park. He said: "It's no problem abusing me... [inaudible] meet me in the carpark to discuss it. I'll wait for you in the car park, I'll wait for you in the car park."

It has been suggested that barring any late change, Keane will be a pundit for the coverage on Merseyside, despite initial uncertainty over an appearance for the showdown.

Keane will be part of the Sky Sports Super Sunday line-up with Chelsea taking on Aston Villa in the 1.30pm kick-off. While Ruben Amorim will take charge of his first Premier League game at the Theatre of Dreams with the Reds taking on Everton kicking off at the same time as Blues and Villa.

The Mail reports that Sky bosses spoke to Keane as well as Kelly Cates, Jamie Redknapp and Izzy Christensen. However, it adds that they have remained tight-lipped over results of their investigation but he will be in position at Anfield as Liverpool look to go 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League.
