West Ham United play host to Arsenal on Saturday and one of our talented young stars has been training with the first-team ahead of the game.
The Premier League clash with Arsenal will be a vitally important one for West Ham.
Julen Lopetegui has understandably been working his players hard at Rush Green this week ahead of the match.
Despite Monday’s brilliant 2-0 win over Newcastle, Lopetegui’s job is still said to be under threat.
So a good result against Arsenal at the London Stadium is very much needed for the Spaniard.
With the pressure Lopetegui is under right now, it’s really encouraging to see him give some of the talented youngsters big chances to impress during first-team training sessions.

Joe Cole described him as an ‘outstanding’ talent back in 2022, and he’s bang on the money with that assessment.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
I honestly don’t think it will be long before we see Scarles, 18, playing regularly for the senior side.
He has everything needed to be a top-class left wing-back for West Ham. He has incredible amount of energy, stamina, pace and power. Oh, and he’s really gifted from a technical perspective as well – the total package you might say.
To top it off, the Hammers youngster can play in central midfield and on either wing as well if need be – he even played as a striker for the under-21s earlier this season!
So could he really be ready to feature for the first-team? I think he’s more than good enough.
And today, West Ham’s official website posted a picture of Scarles taking part in first-team training ahead of our clash with Arsenal on Saturday evening.
You can see the teenager behind Jarrod Bowen in the below picture:
Whilst I’m 99% sure he won’t start vs Arsenal, he might just feature on the bench for us.
And I fully expect to see him start a game for the Hammers first-team before the end of the season.
