Predicted Leicester lineup for Premier League clash against Brentford

Today, Leicester City come up against Brentford away from home in the Premier League. So, here is our predicted Leicester lineup, based on team news and hints.

Leicester City are now in unknown territory. They will face their first match of the post-Cooper era. The section of Leicester fans who were outrightly against Steve Cooper will argue that things can only go upwards from here.

Well, the other half of Leicester fans will hope they're right. But it must begin today, even with the permanent manager not on the touchline.

Speaking ahead of the match, first team coach Ben Dawson said: "If we can match [Brentford's] intensity, be competitive and be a bit more of a threat going forward, I think we’ll be fine.”

So, what is the predicted Leicester lineup?

GK - Mads Hermansen. Been one of the better goalkeepers in the lower half this season. Leicester fans will hope for another strong performance from the Dane.

RB - James Justin. Justin played the entire match against Chelsea but he won't lose his spot. Not only defending against the Brentford attack, he'll hope to have his own moments to overlap.

CB - Wout Faes. Faes can be Leicester's best friend but at times, he can also be his own worst enemy. The Foxes will hope for the former fate today.

CB - Jannik Vestergaard. One of the players who is bound to benefit now that Steve Cooper has left the club - It all begins today for the Leicester stalwart.

LB - Victor Kristiansen. Leicester's main left-back this season and given how well he's played in most of his appearances, he won't be losing his spot anytime soon.

CM - Oliver Skipp. Harry Winks is injured, so Oliver Skipp will step up to the mark as a like-for-like replacement. On Winks, Dawson said: “He’s recovering well. Tomorrow will probably come too early for him but hopefully he’ll join the group soon.”

CM - Wilfred Ndidi. Wilfred Ndidi is often the first name on the team sheet. So, it's business as usual for the Leicester midfielder today.

CM - Boubakary Soumare. Unfortunately, Leicester's defence might be a bit negative in terms of setting up defensively. However, when needs must.

RW - Facundo Buonanotte. Providing the width and the ability to cut inside to feed balls through to the main man, it's Facundo Buonanotte. He's having a brilliant season on loan.

CF - Jamie Vardy. Jamie Vardy has seen many managers come and go at Leicester. He doesn't get too swayed by the things out of his control - It'll be business as usual for the club's all-time great.

LW - Stephy Mavididi. Abdul Fatawu is out injured, so Leicester must adapt to the new normal. Thankfully, they have Mavididi to step in, who will benefit from having more minutes to prove himself to the new manager.
