Newcastle United travel to the national capital on Saturday to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park aiming to rebound from their 2-0 defeat to West Ham on Monday.
Eddie Howe’s Magpies are the definition of mediocre, currently sitting 10th in the Premier League table with 18 points from 12 games. That said and although they are coming off a defeat, it’s not long ago the lads put on hella strong efforts to beat Chelsea, Arsenal, and Nottingham Forest.
Crystal Palace, on the other hand, are struggling in 19th place with just one win in their last six matches and a very extraordinary player commanding the tank effort in center-back Marc Guehi. Ah, how times have changed...
Despite leading late against Aston Villa last weekend, the Eagles were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw in what was one of their best results of the season, wasn’t it? With just five home points this season and a league-low three goals scored at Selhurst Park, Oliver Glasner’s side faces a daunting task against this Newcastle team.
Newcastle’s injury concerns include Bruno Guimaraes and Joe Willock, who are doubtful after picking up knocks against West Ham but available to at least come off the pine.
Sandro Tonali could start in midfield, with Joelinton possibly dropping deeper to make room for Harvey Barnes or Miguel Almiron in the attack. Dan Burn returns from suspension and is expected to slot back into the defense, and Callum Wilson should be able to provide a boost if needed.

_**On Bruno’s and Willock’s fitness...**_
“They have a chance to play. They’re not serious injuries so we’ll make a decision today.”
_**On some players being just one yellow card away from suspension...**_
“It’s a difficult one to go into too much detail on that with the players, because they need to be free to play their game. Joelinton’s biggest strength is his ability to win the ball and be physical. Part of the reason I withdrew him on Monday is to make sure I had him for the next game because he’s such a pivotal player for us.
“The likelihood is that these players will get booked before the cut-off point, but that’s why we have the squad.”
_**On the performance against West Ham...**_
“For the first 60 minutes, I thought the performance was pretty good.
“There was a lot of reflection, a lot of analysis and a lot of work done on the training ground since.”
_**On his side’s away form...**_
“We have to be positive in every respect. The league is still so tight and consecutive wins can elevate you.
“Our last away performance was very strong, and I see no reason we can’t deliver that again.”
