ARSENAL boss Mikel Arteta insists he and the club will discuss Thomas Partey’s future at the “right time” amid constant reports that the midfielder could leave the club at the end of the season.
The Ghana international’s Gunners career has been plagued by injuries and he has constantly spent the time sitting on the bench, but he has been a big part of that Gunners side this summer and has been very impressive for Mikel Arteta.
However – he is out of contract at the end of the season and there is a chance for clubs to make an offer in the January window, and agree to sign the midfielder in the January window, which has left many wondering why Partey has not been signed up to a new contract.
The 31-year-old was outstanding again in Tuesday’s 5-1 win over Sporting Lisbon and earned the praise of his manager who spoke to the media on Friday ahead of this weekend’s game against West Ham.
Arteta told reporters: “We will have the right time to discuss about the situation.
“He is showing consistency at the highest level, again because his availability and the way that he feels physically is allowing him to do that, and I am very pleased with that.”

It seems that Arteta wants Partey to be part of the clubs future, it seems that he would like him to stay, but at the end of the day, clubs can contact Partey in the January window and offer him a contract that he cannot refuse.
He may stay until the summer window, and maybe Mikel Arteta already has a player that could replace Partey, this is one that many of us are very interested to see how it plays out.
