Southampton and Sheffield United sent scouts to follow Brøndby IF’s 1-0 win over AaB Fodbold on Friday.
That’s at least what [Tipsbladet](https://www.tipsbladet.dk/nyhed/superliga/kaempe-klubber-tog-plads-paa-broendby-stadion) are reporting, and they state Southampton and Sheffield United have joined Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and Cercle Brugge to send their officials to Denmark.
It’s claimed all these clubs came to watch ‘sale items on the pitch’, meaning Brøndby and AaB players from who could be sold.
Only a few players from the Danish league are of interest to the clubs across Europe and this includes Brøndby’s Noah Nartey and Clement Bischoff.
Nartey would have impressed the officials of Southampton and Sheffield United by scoring the winner. The 19-year-old midfielder was replaced in the 77th minute while 18-year-old left-back was sent off towards the end of the tie.
The young star duo had a ‘major breakthrough’ in the Denmark’s topflight, and it would have caught the attention of several clubs.
Southampton, Sheffield United, the Champions League duo and Cercle Brugge could have also looked at Brøndby’s Yuito Suzuki and AaB’s Mathias Jørgensen. Genoa and Parma had their officials in attendance at Brøndby’s home stadium yesterday.
It’ll be interesting to see whether Southampton, Sheffield United and others would act to sign one of the players from these two teams in January.
