Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe has been told why he looked "scared" seconds before missing the penalty against Liverpool. The Reds beat Mbappe and Co. 2-0 in the Champions League clash at Anfield earlier this week.
Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo scored the decisive goals that secured the three points for Liverpool against the Spanish giants. There could have been more goals, with Mohamed Salah missing a penalty in the second half.
Mbappe also missed a spot-kick when Caoimhin Kelleher denied the France international with a sublime save moments after Liverpool had taken the lead. Conor Bradley also enjoyed a standing ovation from the Anfield crowd after a tackle on Mbappe in the first half, which denied the Madrid star a chance to get on the score sheet.

Since leaving Paris Saint-Germain to sign for Madrid as a free agent in the summer, Mbappe has scored nine goals in 18 appearances for the La Liga giants. However, former Los Blancos star Guti has explained why he believes Mbappe looked "scared" just before the penalty attempt against Liverpool.
"I think [Kylian] Mbappe has not been up to par, obviously. That's the reality," Guti told El Chiringuito via Mundo Deportivo.
"We would all like to know what is happening to Mbappe. He looks lacking in confidence - shy.
Guti added: "Moments before taking the penalty [against Liverpool], he looked scared. In that sense, he is certainly not happy with his performance and wants something more.
"Mbappe has now joined another team where he will surely have to compete with great players to be the best, and all that costs. And the Real Madrid shirt costs - and that is normal.
"It is difficult to think that a player can adapt so quickly and so soon to a club like Real Madrid, where it is very difficult to play."
