Alan Myers does not believe that The Friedkin Group were involved with the ticket pricing for Everton fans for next season.

The Sky Sports news editor claimed on 29 November that while there is consultation on the majority of the things at the club, this pricing structure is a result of fan engagement over a long period of time.

The Toffees announced on 29 November that for the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock adult season-ticket prices will be starting from £640.

Myers wrote on X: “I don’t think they’ve been involved in the process tbh. More than likely tbf, I’m sure there is consultation on the majority of things at the moment, but I believe the pricing structure is a result of fan engagement over a long period.”

Everton ticket prices may not be raised by the owners in the first season

The ticket pricing for the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock has been set following extensive fan engagement, suggesting that the current pricing isn’t directly influenced by the incoming ownership.

While the prices are now public, the full impact of the ownership transition on future pricing decisions remains uncertain.

Typically, new owners might prefer not to raise prices in their debut season to avoid alienating fans, especially when aiming to make a positive first impression.

This approach could be beneficial for The Friedkin Group, as increasing ticket prices immediately might be perceived as a lack of regard for fan welfare, potentially harming their relationship with supporters.

However, if they do decide to adjust prices in the future, they would likely consider the balance between increasing revenue and maintaining fan loyalty, possibly focusing on enhancing the matchday experience or offering varied pricing options to cater to different fan bases.

It goes without saying but staying in the Premier League is paramount for the club’s revenue streams.
