What Sean Dyche was spotted doing during Everton U21 match involving Armando Broja and Youssef…

Everton have been waiting for some attacking reinforcement to return from the injury table since the start of the season.

Sean Dyche has endured another tricky start to the campaign at Everton with the Toffees struggling massively in attack.

There is no other side in the Premier League who have scored fewer goals than Everton this season with Crystal Palace and Southampton also scoring just 10 times.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s Everton future remains uncertain, with the striker set to see his contract expire at the end of the campaign.

To add insult to injury, Everton have been without two of their promising forwards through respective injuries.

However, Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti are now both closing in on their return to first-team action after missing the opening months of the season.

What Sean Dyche did with Everton’s Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti

Broja played for Everton U21s on Monday evening marking his return to the pitch following months on the sidelines.

And Chermiti played for Everton U21s on Friday with the two strikers now close to their full return to the first team.

Looking on from the sidelines was the Everton manager with Dyche spotted hurling instructions at Chermiti, in particular.

Chermiti only returned to Everton training last week but it is apparent that the Toffees are doing what they can to get him up to match fitness.

Having signed the Albania international over the summer, excitement at Everton has grown over Broja and Chermiti whilst they have been out through injury.

Broja showing potential in Everton U21s game

The on-loan Chelsea striker was in action again on Friday night against Nottingham Forest U21s as he continues to rack up the minutes.

However, one reporter admitted Broja looked stiff after being taken off in the 73rd minute of the game for the Blues.

That is probably to be expected given the striker has spent so much time on the sidelines through his respective injury issue.

But in Monday’s game against Watford, one of Broja’s shots was converted by an Everton player who followed up on the attempt.

Everton have some real issues up top, so Broja and Chermiti’s returns could be very much welcomed ahead of a daunting run of games.
