Italy international Fagioli has been struggling with playing time in recent weeks under Motta, and several sources in Italy claim the Old Lady is waiting for offers for the 23-year-old.

A Gazzetta dello Sport report this week claimed that Fagioli had been offered to Premier League side Manchester United and Manchester City.

During a pre-match press conference on Friday, Motta was asked his thoughts on Fagioli and why the Italian talent hasn’t been a regular starter in recent weeks.

“Well, like all the others, he must continue working hard every day to improve, whether it’s for 90 minutes, 10 minutes, or 15 minutes, and make the difference,” said Motta.

“He has already helped the team as a substitute. Let’s see if he will start tomorrow or come off the bench to help the team.”

The Italian tactician refused to discuss the club’s transfer strategies, although it is evident that the Old Lady will need at least one defender in the winter transfer window.

“There’s excellent chemistry with the club, but right now, I only focus on Lecce; it’s not the time to talk about transfers,” Motta said.

The Old Lady visit Lecce at the Stadio Via del Mare on Sunday.

Thiago Motta said during his press conference that nine Juventus players won’t be available for the upcoming league fixture.
