Barcelona star stretchered out of Las Palmas clash

Barcelona star Alejandro Balde was forced into a premature departure from the club’s meeting with Las Palmas, amid altogether concerning scenes.

The tv cameras in attendance at Montjuïc made clear the fact that defender Balde was struggling badly with a problem in his neck area, looking as though he was close to vomiting.

After the hosts’ medical team attempted to guide the youngster off the pitch on foot, Balde collapsed back to the turf, culminating in a stretcher being brought onto the field of play.

From here, the Spanish international was carried directly down the tunnel, amid alarming scenes for all of a Barcelona persuasion.

An update on his wellbeing is expected in short order.
