Man United vs. Everton: Red Devils out to extend all-time Premier League winning record in…

Manchester United will have the chance to extend an all-time Premier League winning record when they play host to Everton on Sunday.

Rubem Amorim is preparing to take charge of his third game as Man United boss after experiencing an unbeaten start to his tenure.

The Portuguese coach started with a 1-1 draw in last Sunday's Premier League clash against Ipswich Town, before his side recorded a 3-2 victory in Thursday's Europa League home game against Bodo/Glimt.

Amorim will now be looking to clinch his first Premier League victory as his team prepares for a home meeting with relegation-threatened Everton.

Man United out to extend winning record

The Red Devils will be confident of claiming all three points given the fact they boast an all-time Premier League winning record against Everton.

Man United have recorded 41 victories in their 64 Premier League meetings with Everton (D13, L10), making it the biggest win tally any team has against one opponent in the competition's history.

They have picked maximum points in each of their previous four Premier League meetings, including a 2-0 win in March's clash at Old Trafford.

That result represented Man United's 22nd victory in 32 Premier League home matches against the Toffees (D8, L2), making it 10 consecutive head-to-head home games without defeat.

Amorim's impressive home record

Amorim will be looking to carry his outstanding home league record from Sporting Lisbon into his role as Man United head coach.

Last season, the 39-year-old left Sporting after winning 22 consecutive home league matches since the start of the 2023-24 Primeira Liga season.

Amorim's Sporting side racked up 72 goals across those 22 home fixtures, suggesting he could be the man to solve Man United's scoring issues in the Premier League.

The Red Devils have mustered just 13 goals in their 12 Premier League matches this season - only Crystal Palace, Everton and Southampton have scored fewer goals.
