'Several clubs' have already 'knocked on the door' for Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile ahead of January, according to French media.

The 23-year-old continues to be the subject of speculation. Badiashile is a regular in Enzo Maresca's 'B Team' - the side that plays in the Conference League and cup competitions - but rarely features in the Premier League.

Since joining the club in January 2023, Badiashile has struggled to nail down a starting spot in England's top flight and the fact that this has not changed under the Italian tactician is emboldening suitors to try their luck.

In January and the summer, Badiashile was heavily linked with a move to Serie A. AC Milan were said to be interested in the centre-back, but no move ultimately materialised.

With another January window approaching and Badiashile still struggling for Premier League minutes, clubs are once more 'knocking on the door.'

Chelsea face January onslaught

At least that is according to Footmercato, which provides an update on Badiashile's situation. The French outlet claims that a host of admirers from the Bundesliga and Serie A have approached Chelsea regarding the availability of the defender.

However, the report confirms that the player and the club so far have no intention to part ways. Badiashile is determined to fight for his place at Chelsea and is, at present, not considering a January move.

French media recently linked him with a move to Olympique de Marseille, but the above-mentioned report has played down suggestions that Roberto de Zerbi and company are interested in Badiashile, though they are in the market for defensive reinforcements.

It was previously reported that Chelsea were keen to keep the former Monaco prospect in their ranks as a valuable member of the project, who enjoys a sparkling reputation as one of the best defenders in Europe when it comes to his passing statistics.
