Former Aston Villa player Stan Collymore has made his prediction ahead of Sunday’s clash between the two sides at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues head into the game on the back of away wins against Leicester last weekend and Heidenheim in the Conference League on Thursday night.
On the other hand Villa were held to draws by Crystal Palace and Juventus and Unai Emery’s men haven’t won in the league since October 19th against Fulham.
Collymore makes Chelsea vs Aston Villa prediction
Chelsea currently sit fourth in the league three points ahead of Aston Villa in eighth with the table extremely close at this stage of the season.
It very much feels like a six pointer with both teams two of the main protagonists for Champions League qualification.
Villa have a very good recent record against the Blues and have won their last two trips to Stamford Bridge without conceding.

Unai Emery will hoping to make it three in a row and move level on points with Enzo Maresca’s men heading into the festive period.
Maresca is set be boosted by the return of Pedro Neto and Malo Gusto who were both absent for last weekend’s win.
Alan Shearer has already tipped Chelsea to emerge victorious and former Villa man Collymore has also given his prediction.
“If you’re a Villa fan travelling down Sunday like myself you might look at the fact that Chelsea have the lowest ratio of home Premier League wins, which is 41%, but Villa are winless in their last four in the Premier League,” Collymore told talkSPORT as quoted by The Chelsea Chronicle.
“A little bit better against Juventus in midweek. We employed a bit more of a lower block, so there might be a little bit more to have to get in behind.
