United flop wants January exit after tough start under Amorim who overlooked him in Europa…

Joshua Zirkzee is looking to leave Manchester United and reunite with Thiago Motta at Juventus, as per reports.

Zirkzee was one of the most sought after strikers in Europe during the summer, having impressed clubs across Europe with his hold up play and ball-carrying ability in the final third.

The former Bayern Munich talent was the focal point in Motta’s attack at Bologna before eventually joining Erik ten Hag’s United in the summer. His ex-manager, meanwhile, moved to Turin to take over the helm at Juventus.

Now, it is being suggested the pair are keen on reuniting following Zirkzee’s frustrating start to his United career. The technically proficient forward has just one goal to his name in England.

He struggled for regular minutes under Ten Hag, and is yet to earn a start under Ruben Amorim, who has so far only handed him 22 minutes on the pitch. The player remained an unused substitute against FK Bodø/Glimt in the Europa League.

The first two matches of the Portuguese tactician’s reign suggest the Netherlands international is behind Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund in the pecking order.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 23-year-old is on the Old Lady’s radar ahead of the January transfer window.

As his situation at Old Trafford hasn’t improved despite managerial change, Zirkzee is eager to leave the club and play under Motta once again.

It is suggested Motta’s side want a new centre-forward to challenge Dušan Vlahović, who has scored six goals in 12 league appearances.

Juve technical director Cristiano Giuntoli is understood to be exploring the possibility of signing the former Bologna star on an initial loan deal.

However, the Serie A giants’ transfer plans, including the potential signing of Zirkzee, heavily rely on outgoings in January, with both Nicolò Fagioli and Douglas Luiz being linked with moves away.

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming Giuntoli held talks with United in his efforts to sell the pair.
