West Ham United trail Arsenal by a 5-2 scoreline after a goal-laden first half at London Stadium.
The Gunners took the lead inside ten minutes when centre-back Gabriel found space inside the box to meet a right wing corner with an unstoppable header.
Then, with 27 minutes on the clock, Bukayo Saka exchanged passes with Martin Ødegaard to cut through the home defence, before squaring for Leandro Trossard to tap home.
It got worse for the Hammers seven minutes later when Lucas Paquetá clipped Saka in the box and Ødegaard stepped up to convert from the spot.
Kai Havertz was played through by Trossard just two minutes later to add a fourth, and a mad period continued when, on 38 minutes, Aaron Wan-Bissaka slid home to grab one back for the hosts.
The goals kept on coming, and the Irons gave themselves real hope on 40 minutes when Emerson curled a wonderful free-kick past David Raya's despairing dive via the underside of the crossbar, cutting the deficit to two.
But just as the Hammers thought they'd be going into the interval with momentum, Arsenal were awarded a second penalty on the stroke of half-time when Fabiański caught Gabriel in attempting to punch a corner clear. Saka squeezed home to make it 5-2.
