Direct Albion
We've seen it before haven't we, when Albion have possession of the ball they want to keep hold of it and it sometimes slows to a walking pace.
I for one don't like it because I think when Albion move the ball quicker, they can really hurt sides.
What they don't do enough of is get the ball from front to back, or break lines.
But against Preston, in the first half one man in particular was superb at this.
Since he arrived Mason Holgate has really had an eye for that. If nothing short is on, and you can see something at the top end of the pitch, go for it.
He did it once early on to turn Preston with a long ball, and then it was his ball that kicked off Maja's goal in the first half. It showed real vision and gave Albion another dimension to their play in the first half.
