£12m Everton star agrees with Sean Dyche on controversial admission

Orel Mangala joined Everton on a season-long loan in the summer and has impressed on Merseyside.

Everton have a decision to make in the summer as Orel Mangala‘s loan move from Lyon will expire, with no optional clause inserted into his contract.

There are suggestions that Everton want a permanent move for Mangala in the summer, but that could very much depend on the price and the second half of the season.

Lyon have some financial issues of their own, which could make a potential deal cheap.

The Everton midfielder has been speaking about his time at Everton recently, and agreed with Sean Dyche‘s mentality on the recent results.

Orel Mangala says he always looks at the positives

Orel Mangala asked Amadou Onana all about Everton before making the move to Goodison Park due to the pair being good friends on the international stage with Belgium.

To be fair to Mangala, he’s played well in midfield this season, as one of the more consistent performer, which has earnt him a regular starting spot.

“You can say two league wins this season or you can say one defeat in eight, which is a positive look. I just wondered, is it important for players to look in the positive sense for sort of sport psychology?”

Mangala replied.

“Yeah, yeah, you always have to look at the positive because you have to look at what you can control. And some things you can control on the pitch and that’s what we want to do now.”

Sean Dyche’s mentality has been called into question

Sean Dyche been heavily criticised for not facing up to negative results or performances this season.

One example is his slight deflection in the Southampton loss, as Dyche claimed the Saints should have had a player sent off, which was a bit of a stretch.

West Ham put in one of their worst performances of the season against Everton and even had chances to win that game towards the end, but Dyche spoke about how good the point was after the game.

This mentality from Dyche infuriated Everton fans, as many called for his departure.

One loss in eight games is all good, but the performances have not been good enough of late.

James Tarkowski was slammed for having the same mentality.
