Manchester United Predicted Lineup vs Everton for December 1

Manchester United will look to build on Thursday evening’s 3-2 win over Bodo Glimt with a home Premier League fixture against Everton on Sunday (Kick off 1.30pm). Here is the Manchester United predicted lineup as the Red Devils search for their maiden league win under new manager Ruben Amorim.

How Manchester United Have Lined-up Recently

Under Amorim, United have started to implement a new style of play, starting with a change to a 3-4-2-1 formation.

André Onana is a permanent fixture in goal, with a back three of Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez. Amad Diallo and Antony have rotated at right wing-back, with Diogo Dalot and Tyrell Malacia having started at left wing-back recently.

Casemiro and Christian Eriksen started in midfield at Ipswich, replaced by Manuel Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes for Thursday’s Europa League tie. In attacking midfield, Alejandro Garnacho was alongside Fernandes for the Ipswich game and Mason Mount against Bodo Glimt.

Marcus Rashford completed the lineup at Portman Road, whilst Rasmus Hojlund made a goalscoring return to the starting lineup against the Norwegians.

Manchester United Recent Form and Tactics

Now six games unbeaten in all competitions, the Red Devils seem to have turned a corner following the dismissal of former manager Erik ten Hag at the end of October. With a new coach and a new system in place designed to utilise width and get the most out of the team’s attacking players, as well as press higher up the field, there have already been shoots of promise in the Portuguese coach’s first two games at the helm.

With that being said, the ongoing issue of midfield balance is still posing a problem, with United easily overrun in the middle of the park against Ipswich last weekend.

Manchester United Injuries to Consider

Jonny Evans (Knock) and Harry Maguire (Calf) are in contention for selection for Sunday’s game, whilst Victor Lindelof ( Groin) and Lény Yoro (Ankle) are still out and expected back in in the next 1-2 weeks.
