After demolishing their London rivals West Ham 5-2 at the London Stadium on Saturday evening, Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has claimed that his side are “ready” for a difficult Premier League meeting against Manchester United on Wednesday night.
Arsenal were 4-0 up within 36 minutes against Julen Lopetegui’s lacklustre West Ham side, and an added-time Saka penalty ended any hope of a Hammers comeback despite the hosts scoring twice before the half-time break.
Having beaten Nottingham Forest 3-0 last weekend in the Premier League, Sporting CP 5-1 in Lisbon in the UEFA Champions League League Phase on Tuesday and now their London rivals West Ham, Saka claimed that Arsenal are back to their best, and “ready” for the game against Manchester United.

As well as claiming that his side are “ready”, Saka also called for more consistency, saying: “We need to continue like this. We played three good games but we know in this league it’s not enough. We have a big game on Wednesday against Manchester United, so we’re going to be ready for that and look to do the same thing,” when speaking to Sky Sports after the West Ham game.
The Red Devils are unbeaten under new boss Ruben Amorim and, despite drawing against Ipswich Town and only narrowly beating Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League, they will arrive at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday full of confidence and with the belief that they can leave with a positive result.

Saka has played an integral part in Arsenal’s season so far, with his seven goals and 11 assists in 18 appearances across all competitions this season putting him amongst the most influential players in Europe this season – as well as being the Premier League’s highest assister so far, with 10.
The gap between Arsenal and the league leaders, Liverpool, currently stands at six points – although Arne Slot’s side could re-extend their lead with a win over Manchester City on Sunday.
