Chelsea are not looking to sign a striker in January, ending their long-term interest in ARSENAL target Victor Osimhen unless Christopher Nkunku is sold according to the latest reports in the media this weekend.
Osimhen was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over the course of the summer window, as Chelsea were desperate to add a striker to their attack before the season started, many reports in the media suggested.
But despite all the rumours, despite all the speculation that he could be heading to Chelsea – Osimhen never made that move to London as his asking price was far too high and in the end, he ended up making a loan move to Galatasaray.
According to reports, the only way they may dip into the market for a striker is if Christopher Nkunku is sold in the coming months, freeing up funds and space for a replacement.
Nkunku has been in brilliant form for Chelsea this season, but is going getting game time in Europe and the cup competitions as Enzo Maresca prefers to play Nicolas Jackson in the Premier League on a weekly basis.

There is no doubt about it – Osimhen is one of the best strikers in Europe and a man that Chelsea fans wanted to see arrive – so many were shocked when that switch to Galatasaray happened.
Osimhen moved because he wanted game time and that is what he is getting – Napoli would probably have loved to keep the player – but at the end of the day – he just wanted minutes.
If the reports are true and Chelsea have made the decision not to sign a striker in the January window, then Arsenal will be boosted by the news.
It is no secret that ARSENAL are also interested in getting a deal done in January and one less club that will challenge means, the Gunners could get Osimhen for cheaper.
