Phil Foden has labelled Liverpool as 'frightening'
Liverpool welcome Manchester City to Anfield on Sunday afternoon, with a rare opportunity to extend their lead over their opponents.
The Reds sit atop the Premier League and lead Pep Guardiola's side by eight points as the division's champions suffer a crisis. City have not won since October and a trip to Liverpool is rarely the antidote for such form.
While things are going smoothly on the pitch, off it questions remain around the futures of Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold set to see their contracts expire. The trio remain crucial components of Slot's team however.

Liverpool set up meeting
The Reds have been linked to a number of forwards as they attempt to put a succession plan in place amid Salah's uncertain future. The Egyptian winger is irreplaceable in many respects but even if he extends his stay at Liverpool, a plan will be required to facilitate an eventual departure.
The Anfield club have reportedly already arranged a meeting with agent Jorge Mendes to discuss one client. Reds chiefs are set to learn more about 17-year-old Sporting CP star Geovany Quenda, who has already been labelled 'not normal' by Portugal boss Roberto Martinez.
Quenda has already played for Sporting 20 times this term and has now seen Mendes take charge of his future.

Foden makes Liverpool admission
Phil Foden has described Liverpool as frightening amid their excellent start to the season. The Reds have tasted defeat just once across all competitions and are flying high at the top of the Premier League and Champions League tables.
"Yeah, they look frightening to be fair," he told The Times . "They’ve gone under the radar a bit because everyone was talking about City and Arsenal but we know how good they are. [Sunday’s match] is going to be a challenge and we’re up for it."
Slot's true feelings
Arne Slot may have declared Pep Guardiola as the best coach in the world ahead of Liverpool versus Manchester City but the Dutchman was keen reporters didn't make more of his commen that what he meant.
The ex-Feyenoord boss told TV cameras: “Pep is one of the best in the world - and in my opinion THE best.”
But moments later he wanted to make another point clear before going head to head with the Catalan coach.
“I don’t look up to Pep,” Slot said in a briefing with reporters from Sunday newspapers, “That’s not the words I would want to use.”
