Why isn't Man Utd vs Everton on TV? How to watch Ruben Amorim's PL home debut

Manchester United face Everton at Old Trafford in Ruben Amorim's first Premier League home fixture. The former Sporting CP manager’s first game in England was a visit to Ipswich Town last week in the league, which ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw.

The 39-year-old Portuguese stepped into the Old Trafford dugout for the first time on Thursday for a Europa League tie against Bodo/Glimt. Now, having waited patiently for his first Premier League match in front of the United faithful, Amorim takes on Sean Dyche’s Everton.

The Red Devils boss will hope to secure his first three points against a Toffees side that were booed off the pitch by their own fans after a 0-0 draw with 10-man Brentford last time out, while United languish in the bottom half of the table. But fans in the UK won't be able to watch the match on TV.

The fixture, originally scheduled as United's last November game, was moved to Sunday, November 1, due to United's midweek Europa League commitments. With their match against Bodo/Glimt taking place on Thursday night, a Saturday game was considered too quick a turnaround for the squad.

United and Everton’s match-up will not be televised by Sky Sports, as the broadcaster has chosen to air Chelsea vs Aston Villa at the same 1.30pm kick-off slot. Villa’s visit to Stamford Bridge will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League, and will be followed on the same channels by Liverpool vs Manchester City at 4pm.

Beginning next season, all games that are not scheduled for 3pm on Saturday will be shown live in the UK under the Premier League’s new TV deal.

For fans outside the UK, the game will be aired via local Premier League TV rights holders in other countries. For example, Sky Germany will show the match on Sky Sport 5.

France's Canal+ and Qatari network beIN Sports will also televise the match. In the United States, NBCUniversal holds the rights to all 380 Premier League games this season.

UK fans will have to make do with highlights, which will be shown on Sky shortly after full-time. Extended highlights and analysis will be available on Match of the Day 2, airing at 10.30pm on BBC One.
