It was not a good day for Wolves yesterday as the team lost 4-2 to Bournemouth, but Fabio Silva continued his great form over in Spain.
Wolves were beaten at Molineux by the Cherries and the pressure is now right back on manager Gary O’Neil.
Defensive mistakes cost Wolves once more, with Jose Sa enduring a horror show, giving away two penalties. Toti Gomes also conceded one within the first couple of minutes.
But there was a least one small positive of the game, with Jorgen Strand Larsen scoring another two goals, taking his tally to six in 14 appearances.
He wasn’t the only Wolves striker to score yesterday, as Fabio Silva bagged what turned out to be a winning goal against La Liga leaders Barcelona.

It was a pretty positive November for Fabio Silva.
He earned his first call-up for the Portugal national team a few weeks ago, with Roberto Martinez admitting Portugal didn’t really have anyone like Silva.
Silva was then recently named the best U23 La Liga Player of the Month for Las Palmas.

Yesterday, Las Palmas were back in action against Barcelona, and the league leaders suggested a shock defeat – and Silva grabbed the winning goal.
Sandro Ramirez gave Las Palmas the lead on 49 minutes, but Barca equalised through Raphinha. But on 61 minutes, Silva scored what turned out to be the winner.

A ball from the halfway line caught the high Barca line out, and Silva ran into the space and finished well into the bottom corner.
That was his fifth goal in 11 appearances, and the win lifted Las Palmas up to 14th in the table.
Silva posted on Instagram after the game, and Daniel Podence was among those to comment. He said: “What a beautiful thing!!! 🥹 🥹 YOU DESERVE IT!”
Wolves will be delighted with latest Silva loan stint
So it’s five in 11 appearances now for Silva, who has certainly found his feet over in Spain.
It’s been reported that Silva is almost certain to leave Wolves next summer, and this loan stint is all about the player trying to raise his market value.
Wolves want to sell him for the highest price possible, and Silva himself will want as many options as possible next summer.

It’s a shame it hasn’t worked out for Silva back at Molineux. Along the way, there have been genuine glimpses of his potential.
But perhaps he just isn’t suited to English football. Not all players are.
Hopefully, when Wolves do come to sell the player, the club will insert some kind of sell-on clause, just to try and benefit from any future purple patches.
