Further loan could follow for Henry-Francis after impressive spell at Sligo Rovers

Jack Henry-Francis returned to Arsenal recently, with the midfielder having made a significant impact on loan at Sligo Rovers.

During what was his first loan spell away from the club, Henry-Francis, who has been capped by the Republic of Ireland at U21 level, featured 13 times for Sligo and gave a good account of himself.

The 21-year-old demonstrated that he is capable of contributing both defensively and creatively, with the experience that he gained with Sligo likely to stand him in good stead as he prepares to take the next steps in his career.

Henry-Francis has been involved in training with the Arsenal first-team squad in recent weeks but despite the ability he possesses, a breakthrough into the senior setup appears difficult at this stage.

It will be intriguing to see what happens next in Henry-Francis’ career and it is possible that another loan move could follow when the transfer window opens in January.

Henry-Francis could get the chance to test himself in English football, either in League One or League Two and show what he learned during his time at Sligo.

A hard-working and determined player, Henry-Francis has gained plenty of experience for Arsenal at youth level, featuring over 50 times for the U21s.

Now it is time for him to gain further experience of senior football and another loan could be the best way in which to do that.
