Newcastle United defender Jamaal Lascelles has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Wolves ahead of January.
The 31-year-old has been a great servant to Newcastle for a decade now, but is no longer playing regularly for the Magpies due to the increased competition for places in Eddie Howe’s squad.
Newcastle CLEAR £60m star to leave the club!
According to the Chronicle, Lascelles could perhaps finally be heading for the St James’ Park exit door after a long career with the club, as Wolves are looking at him as an option for January.
Fabian Schar, Sven Botman, Lloyd Kelly and Dan Burn are now among the names Lascelles has to compete with for a place in the Newcastle starting XI, so perhaps it could be for the best for everyone involved if he moves on for a new challenge.

Newcastle fans will surely wish Jamaal Lascelles well
NUFC supporters will surely remember Lascelles fondly for sticking with the club during some difficult periods, and there’ll likely be no ill feeling towards the player if he moves on to another Premier League club.
The former England Under-21 international, who also had a loan spell at Nottingham Forest during his career at Newcastle, once looked like a player who could surely move on to one of the big six Premier League clubs.
It never worked out that way, however, and Toon fans will no doubt remember how loyal he remained to the club even when they were relegated to the Championship in 2016.
