Chelsea fans are fuming on X after Enzo Maresca included Robert Sanchez in the starting XI to face Aston Villa. The two sides are set to lock horns in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge later today (Sunday, December 1).
Sanchez starts in goal, replacing Filip Jorgensen who kept an impressive clean sheet during the Blues' 2-0 win against Heidenheim in the UEFA Europa Conference League (November 28). Wesley Fofana, Levi Colwill and Marc Cucurella make up the defense.
The midfield comprises Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Jadon Sancho, Cole Palmer, and Pedro Neto. Nicolas Jackson starts up front as the lone forward to complete the starting XI.

Chelsea fans have been left unimpressed by Sanchez's inclusion. The Spaniard has kept just two clean sheets in 12 appearances across competitions this season. He has developed an unfortunate habit of making some massive errors that have affected his side.
One fan posted:
"Sanchez in goal is a joke by the way. No A or B team? Play on merit?"

"I think they’ll take the points" - Alan Shearer makes prediction for Chelsea vs Aston Villa
Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has backed Chelsea to defeat Unai Emery's Aston Villa in their upcoming Premier League clash.
The Blues have looked impressive under Enzo Maresca this season and are currently sitting in fifth place with 22 points from 12 games, nine points behind leaders Liverpool. However, they have notably won just two of their last five league games, drawing two, and losing the other.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa had a good start but have struggled of late. They are ninth in the table with 19 points from 12 games and have failed to secure a win in their last seven games across competitions.
Shearer wrote (via METRO):
"Aston Villa are on a bit of a tough run at the moment, they were very unfortunate against Juventus, and Chelsea are on the up and looking strong. I think I’ll go for a Chelsea win with the form they’re in. I think they’ll take the points."
The Blues are winless in their last three league games against Aston Villa, drawing one game, and losing two.
