14-year-old Max Dowman has been named in the Arsenal U21 squad for today’s game at home to Brighton.
Dowman has made a major impact for Arsenal at both U19 and U18 levels this season.
The youngster isn’t eligible to play for the U18s against Hertford Town in the FA Youth Cup on Tuesday as he is too young.
If he features for the U21s today then Dowman will break the record for the youngest player to feature for Arsenal at that level or equivalent, which is currently held by Richie Powling.
Ethan Nwaneri was 15 years old when he first featured for the U21s against Blackburn Rovers two seasons ago.
