Manchester United reportedly sent out scouts to Denmark to watch Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush earlier this week.

The club continue to be linked with a number of names ahead of the January transfer window, which will re-open next month. Marmoush has been one of the players to be linked with a move to Old Trafford and is also a potential target for Liverpool.

According to The Mirror, United had scouts in attendance for Frankfurt's Europa League game against FC Midtjylland which the German side went on to win 2-1. Marmoush scored the winner from the penalty spot in the second half, adding to his tally of three goals in five games in the competition.

In addition to United, Tottenham, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are said to have also had scouts in attendance. It's believed United hold a 'serious interest' in Mohamed Salah's Egypt teammate.

Marmoush was subject of two rejected bids from Nottingham Forest in the summer and Frankfurt are 'hopeful' he will stay at the club until the end of the season. While his value has risen to around the £50million mark, it's reported the German outfit could seek closer to £60m to part ways with the 25-year-old.

He has scored 15 goals with 11 assists for Frankfurt this season in just 18 appearances in all competitions. That form has seen Marmoush become one of the most sought-after players in Europe, which has led to United seemingly having an interest in his signature.

The Egypt international joined Frankfurt on a free transfer in the summer of 2023 following his exit from Wolfsburg and is under contract until 2027.
