However, fears are mounting among fans that Valle could be recalled by Barcelona in January following an injury to their first-choice left-back, Alejandro Balde.
In a heavily rotated Celtic lineup, Valle stood out once again. Filling in for Greg Taylor, the young Spaniard showcased composure and quality on the ball, contributing to a clean sheet and a display that further bolstered his case for more starting opportunities.
Valle’s performances have not gone unnoticed by Celtic supporters, with many calling for the club to explore the possibility of securing him on a permanent deal.
But it’s not only Celtic supporters that have been watching him impressed, his parent club have been monitoring him and are pleased with his development.
Barcelona’s 2-1 loss to Las Palmas was compounded by a potentially serious injury to Balde, who was stretchered off.
With limited options at left-back, Barcelona may be forced to recall Valle to address their defensive crisis.
Reports before the injury suggested that despite earlier rumours suggesting the youngster was set for an early return to Spain, Barca are happy with the left-back at Celtic.
Respected journalist Fabrizio Romano described Balde’s injury as “bad news for Barça,” raising the possibility that Valle could be brought back in January despite having yet to make a senior appearance for the Catalan giants.
We will wait and see what happens…
