Inter Miami will compete in next year’s FIFA Club World Cup, where all eyes will be on the Herons and their star-studded squad.
The reigning Supporters’ Shield champions will be under pressure to perform in the competition, with Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets all expected to return for Inter Miami next year and to take part in the Club World Cup.
With Inter Miami already interested in signing Angel Di Maria, there’s a real chance that another superstar addition could be made in the January transfer window ahead of the Florida franchise’s participation in the Club World Cup.
And another former Real Madrid star is now wanted by Inter Miami.

Inter Miami keen to sign James Rodriguez in January
According to Estadio Deportivo, Inter Miami are interested in signing James Rodriguez in the January transfer window, with the Colombia international keen to leave Rayo Vallecano having failed to make much of an impact this season.
Rodriguez has been linked with Inter Miami for some time, with the former Real Madrid superstar an obvious target for the Herons given how popular the 33-year-old playmaker is in the Latin-speaking world.
With Inter Miami also in the market for Neymar, it’s clear that the Herons are interested in bringing in a forward-minded player to add to their ranks who could complement the likes of Messi and Suarez in the final third.
And with Rodriguez set to leave Vallecano in January, Inter Miami would be a realistic landing spot for the Colombian playmaker, especially if the veteran superstar is open to taking a pay cut to make the move possible.

Rodriguez could be the most sensible big-name signing in January
The Herons have been linked with a slew of big-name players in recent weeks from Di Maria and Neymar with Inter Miami now rumored with a move for Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah, who will be a free-agent next summer.
Yet out of all the names linked with Inter Miami, Rodriguez could make the most sense given his current wage package at Vallecano and his reputation in places like Florida, with the 33-year-old also still good enough to do a job in MLS.
Alongside Messi, Rodriguez could be a sensational option for Inter Miami as the creative heartbeat of the team, and the playmaker could be keen to make the move to MLS if a tempting enough offer is made leading in January.
