Dean Ashton could not believe how “average” Manchester United played during their 4-0 win over Everton on Sunday.
Sean Dyche’s side created multiple chances to take the lead at Old Trafford on 1 December but were made to regret their misses when Marcus Rashford opened the scoring after 34 minutes.
Joshua Zirkzee doubled the Red Devils’ lead before half-time before both goal goalscorers grabbed his brace against the Toffees just one minute into the second half. However, Ashton was not impressed.
Speaking live via Sky Sports News [1 December, 2:03pm], he said: “Manchester United are stinking the place out. They have been so average, it’s unbelievable.
Everton have been excellent up to the 18-yard box, but the pass or cross has let Everton down. Man United have not had a sniff of a chance so it’s a strange performance.”

Everton fail to take advantage of Manchester United before stinking defeat
The Toffees are rarely known for scoring goals against any of the big Premier League sides but there is absolutely no hiding after their 4-0 hiding at Old Trafford.
With Beto handed his first Premier League start of the campaign, he had a chance to prove himself to the frustrated fanbase but of his two efforts, both were far off-target.
Dyche’s side have only scored one goal in their last four matches, which came in the 1-1 draw with Fulham in October, and the manager is running out of time to save his job.

While Man United were nothing spectacular in front of their home supporters, Everton just handed the victory to them on a platter and that is what the fans will be most disappointed by.
Every team misses chances, especially against tough opposition, but Dyche cannot allow his players to capitulate at such a fast rate. It is unacceptable, and the time looks to be ticking down for the manager.
In other Everton news, Sean Dyche could soon be done at Goodison Park as a pay-off fee is mooted.
