Chelsea recorded their third straight win across all competitions with Sunday’s home victory against Aston Villa.
Chelsea beat Villa 3-0 this afternoon in their Premier League fixture, which puts them on 25 points from 13 top-flight games this season.
Nicolas Jackson opened the scoring in the seventh minute at Stamford Bridge with a superb left-footed finish inside the box. Afterwards, Enzo Fernandez doubled the advantage before half time. Cole Palmer then netted a third in style during the second period.
Villa manager Unai Emery picked out Chelsea’s Jackson pre-match, but his side were unable to stop the Blues frontman netting his eight league goal of the season.

Roy Keane showers Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez with praise
Roy Keane was blown away by Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez for the quality of his goal this weekend.
The 23-year-old midfielder fired in a powerful low effort with the outside of his boot. Therefore, it’s now back-to-back league games that he’s scored in.
When reacting to Chelsea’s second goal against Villa, Keane told Sky Sports Main Event (2:28pm, 1 December): “This is where you’ve got the quality. Fernandez, brilliant. The first touch sets him up. The quality. Quick play with a one-two. I love it…
“His first touch is vital. His confidence is high after scoring last week. We know Palmer will pick you out. His first touch is key; that sets him up. It doesn’t give the defenders a chance to get near him. Brilliant, brilliant goal and well deserved.”

Fernandez is certainly in a purple patch of form right now with his eye-catching displays in the centre of the park, showing great resilience after some time on the bench earlier in the campaign.
Chelsea have no intention of selling Fernandez, which is great news because he’s definitely a key part of the squad under Maresca.

Fernandez and Romeo Lavia impressed as the midfield pivot on Sunday, while Moises Caicedo was a right-back out of possession and drifted into the middle when the team had the ball.
Maresca recently shared what Chelsea’s Fernandez has been training on, which is joining the box as an attacking threat. It’s safe to say the hard work is paying off because he’s becoming a more significant goal threat as the weeks pass.
