Manchester United players celebrate during the victory over Everton

Manchester United's new head coach Ruben Amorim enjoyed the perfect afternoon on his Premier League home debut as Everton were put to the sword at Old Trafford.

Shortly after the half-hour mark, Marcus Rashford opened the scoring with a deflected effort before Joshua Zirkzee scored to double the advantage at the break. Immediately after the restart, Rashford had his second of the game as he latched on to an Amad pass to make it 3-0.

Zirkzee would grab a brace of his own less than 20 minutes later as the game was put out of the reach of Sean Dyche's men. With another victory in the bag, MEN Sport has taken a closer look at what is to come for the Reds in the next five fixtures.

United's next fixtures

December 4 vs Arsenal (A) at 8.15pm - Premier League

December 7 vs Nott’m Forest (H) at 5.30pm - Premier League

December 12 vs Viktoria Plzen (A) at 5.45pm - Europa League

December 15 vs Manchester City (A) at 4.30pm - Premier League

December 19 vs Tottenham (A) at 8pm - Carabao Cup

Our verdict: It has been a good start to life in England for Amorim but these next five fixtures will be the real test of his managerial abilities. The immediate threat is Arsenal who have been in sparkling form since the international break ended. The so-called easier fixtures against Forest and Viktoria Plzen will be dangerous for the Reds before the big one against City in the middle of the month. Tottenham provides a difficult obstacle too, but due to it being the League Cup, that could be an opportunity for further rotation for United. Either way, we will have a better grasp of Amorim's start in Manchester after these fixtures.
