Everton fans were spotted storming out of Old Trafford way before full-time against Manchester United, according to Matt Jones.

The Liverpool Echo journalist shared this once the Toffees were down 3-0 at the start of the second half.

Ruben Amorim’s side ended up winning the contest 4-0 and Jones believes that it’s time for the Friedkin Group to sack Sean Dyche.

Via X, Jones wrote: “A disgrace today, fans streaming out of Old Trafford already – if the Friedkins have any influence whatsoever it’s time to get rid of this fella.

“Everton are sinking.”

Everton fans are undoubtedly sick of Sean Dyche

The exodus of fans from Old Trafford before the match concluded against Manchester United was a stark indicator of dissatisfaction with Dyche’s management.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

The 4-0 defeat was symptomatic of a broader issue which is the lack of confidence among the ranks.

A number of Everton’s players are arguably not playing to Premier League standards, but the ease of replacing a manager often makes it a more immediate solution.

With the Friedkin Group taking over, there’s an expectation of change.

New ownership typically seeks to stamp their authority with fresh managerial appointments that align with their vision for the club’s future.

Dyche’s pragmatic style, which can sometimes lack flair or progression, might not fit with the aspirations of an ownership looking to elevate the Toffees’ status in the league.

A new manager could potentially unlock the potential of the squad, especially if they bring innovative tactics and a style that both excites fans and suits the players’ capabilities.

In other Everton news, Alan Myers has issued a claim on the Friedkin Group after a Toffees development in the last few days.
