Marcus Rashford has admitted he is "energised" and "ready" to face Arsenal, after scoring twice for Manchester United against Everton on Sunday. The 27-year-old, who netted during Ruben Amorim's first game in charge at Ipswich last weekend, was in fine form as United beat the Toffees 4-0 at Old Trafford.
Rashford scored his first in the 34th minute, firing home from the edge of the box after Bruno Fernandes had set him up. After Joshua Zirkzee put United 2-0 ahead, Rashford then added his second of the game, slotting past Jordan Pickford following neat work from Amad Diallo in the build-up.
It was a clinical performance from Amorim's side, with Zirkzee scoring his second and United's fourth just past the hour mark to wrap up a comfortable win. Looking to continue that feel-good factor and record another three points, United travel to Arsenal in their next game on Wednesday.
And Rashford, who has now scored three in his last two Premier League matches, has sent a warning to the Gunners ahead of the game. Speaking to Sky Sports, Rashford said: "It is early on but I feel energised and ready for the next game. This game has only just finished but the next one is always the focus for the players."
Rashford and United are now unbeaten in three since Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag as their next permanent boss earlier this month. They drew to Ipswich last Sunday before beating Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League and now thrashing Everton in the Premier League.
"It is a nice result," Rashford said. "It is important with a new coach and a new play of playing, when we are still learning. We have to back up this performance and win in midweek.
"We all, as individuals, want to get back to our best and then push to improve so even in the bad moments you are doing the right thing. The connection is going to build and grow the more we get used to him.
"He's [Ruben Amorim] come in in a busy period and hopefully the connection keeps building and growing. He's come in with a great attitude and it's passed onto the players. The atmosphere is one of the most special things about his club and playing at this great stadium is always a great feeling."
