An explanation for the early withdrawal of Jude Bellingham from Real Madrid’s meeting with Getafe this evening has come to the fore online.
The info comes courtesy of Blancos insider Guillermo Rai of The Athletic, and points towards the Englishman having suffered a heavy blow to the head.
Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action, in a La Liga meeting with Getafe.
As things stand in Spain’s capital, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are well on their way to another three-point haul, boasting a two-goal advantage.
And the aforementioned Bellingham played a direct hand in both goals.
After first opening the scoring from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark, the midfielder set Kylian Mbappé free to make it two late in the first-half.
In turn, it came as a major surprise when, upon Real Madrid’s players emerging for the 2nd-half, Bellingham was nowhere to be seen.
As alluded to above, though, an insight into the reasoning behind as much has since been provided.
As per a report from Guillermo Rai:
‘According to the club, Bellingham is very dizzy as a result of the blow with the goalkeeper in the first half.’
