Ruben Amorim believes Manchester United still have to improve, despite their commanding 4-0 league win over Everton on Sunday, December 1, at Old Trafford. The Red Devils have subsequently moved up to ninth in the Premier League table after 13 games.

The Portuguese head coach made six changes to the team that secured a 3-2 midweek win over Bodo/Glimt on Thursday, November 28, in the Europa League. Manchester United started Sunday's game quite well, although the Toffees occasionally threatened to derail their efforts.

However, the breakthrough was reached in the 34th minute, after Marcus Rashford got at the end of a Bruno Fernandes corner. The Portuguese maestro then set up Joshua Zirkzee to double the score in the 41st minute, following some good work by Amad Diallo.

It was the Ivorian's turn to take charge of the proceedings next. Amad set up Rashford for his second in the 46th minute, and then teed up Zirkzee in the 64th minute to make it 4-0.

Speaking after the win, however, Amorim insisted that his team has to be more consistent during games.

"You can feel it during the game. It isn't a line of top performances, it is a rollercoaster of performances. We have some moments when we are good but then we have moments when we have to suffer. We did it again like in the Europa League. We need time to train and improve...," said Amorim (via UtdDistrict on X).

Manchester United next face Arsenal at the Emirates on Wednesday, December 4, in the Premier League.

Manchester United have scored eight goals in three games under Ruben Amorim so far. The Portuguese took charge at Old Trafford on November 11 as Erik ten Hag's replacement.

The Red Devils had previously struggled to score goals under the Dutch manager this season, which ultimately cost Ten Hag his job. However, the Premier League giants have enjoyed an impressive start under Amorim so far.

Marcus Rashford has scored three goals since the Portuguese's arrival, while Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have scored two each. Alejandro Garnacho has also found the back of the net once.

Manchester United started the 'Amorim era' with a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town last weekend, with Rashford getting on the scoresheet. They picked up a hard-fought 3-2 win over Bodo/Glimt in midweek in the Europa League, courtesy of a Rasmus Hojlund brace and a Garnacho strike.
