Arne Slot and Pep Guardiola shake hands ahead of Liverpool vs Manchester City

Manchester City's fourth straight Premier League defeat means the Blues are now 11 points off the pace in the top flight.

Pep Guardiola's side were well beaten at Anfield as league leaders Liverpool ran out 2-0 winners. The defeat leaves City in fifth, level on points with fourth placed Brighton and behind Arsenal and Chelsea with their title defence in tatters.

City fell behind at Anfield when Cody Gakpo scored early on with Liverpool on top for much of the first half. The visitors improved after the break but Mo Salah sealed the win with a second half penalty.

Arsenal were convincing winners over West Ham on Saturday, storming to a 5-2 victory with all the goals in the first half. Chelsea then eased to a 3-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon. Both sit on 25 points from 13 games with Brighton & Hove Albion and City two points further back. Here's how the next few weeks in the top flight look for the top three and City.
